Meet Jackie, a girl we grew out with high hopes for show ring and whelping box. She is a very sturdy moderate girl, with effortless smooth movement, and she is very beloved. Sadly, her coat remained too modest to be competitive, and she was unable to carry a litter to term.
Jackie adores playing exuberant tug, and is a fun, fierce competitor. She also loves to receive lovins’ and will happily snuggle as long as anyone continues petting. She is generally a quiet, restful companion, though she alerts and barks when she thinks something is afoot (sometimes, she alerts at the wind). She has a significant hearing deficit, but copes beautifully by watching closely for cues and feeling for sound vibrations. She is an easy dog to live with, not demanding, and very affectionate.
Jackie plays beautifully with other dogs with a similar play style (non-pushy, intermittent bursts of energy), but gets stressed and defensive if she perceives aggression or frenetic energy.
