Week One
Meet Daisy’s puppies! They are all strong and beautiful, and she’s doing a great job caring for them!
Prenatal
Several puppies were seen in the ultrasound without “hunting”… we never try to get a headcount this way because it’s too easy to count the same puppy multiple times. The X-ray we take one week before due date will be our best way to tell how many puppies to expect. Not only is it fun to see these pre-birth images of the litter, the X-ray also helps us know if there is a retained puppy needing emergency rescue after labor has stopped. The ultrasound is useful in signaling us to contact interested families, and to begin purchasing supplies for the litter...
